Howard Zinn, a shipyard laborer who participated in World War II, became well-known for his book “A People’s History of the United States” published in 1980. Recently released FBI documents suggest that Zinn was involved with the Communist Party of the United States of America. Despite being considered a Marxist historian and a champion of progressive causes, Zinn may have misled the FBI regarding his affiliation with the Communist Party. It is perhaps not unexpected that an individual who distorted historical facts would also align himself with controversial political ideologies.
The book “A People’s History of the United States” offers a Marxist perspective on American history, highlighting the challenges faced by various social classes and the exploitation they faced. Despite facing criticism for its perceived bias, Zinn boldly stated to the Times, “While it may not provide a neutral account, does that really make a difference? Viewing history from the perspective of the marginalized and oppressed reveals a completely different story.”
Zinn spent 24 years teaching at BU, during which time he had a contentious relationship with the university’s authoritarian president, John Silber, who did not support Zinn’s radical political views. Zinn detailed his conflicts with Silber in his Boston Globe column, highlighting Silber’s consistent refusal to grant him salary increases.
It is common for a Republican elected official to attempt to prohibit Zinn’s work. In the past, former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels requested to have his books banned from educational settings. In 2013, emails obtained by the Associated Press revealed that Daniels had expressed joy over Zinn’s death from a heart attack. Daniels referred to Zinn as an “anti-American academic” and criticized his book, ‘A People’s History of the United States,’ as being full of misinformation about American history.
More than 100,000 teachers are using this radical publication’s lessons and materials, potentially impacting around 2.1 million students with its deceptive information.
Howard Zinn’s incorporation of anti-American sentiments into a fictional thriller novel is already troubling. Still, the fact that educators are now utilizing his distorted views in their lesson plans takes the situation to a new extreme. Zinn’s book, A People’s History of the United States, contains quotes central to the radical left’s agenda. By highlighting the numerous massacres of nonwhite individuals in American history, Zinn aimed to challenge patriotic sentiments and shed light on the deep-rooted racism still present in the country. Additionally, Zinn references socialist Eugene V. Debs in advocating for overthrowing capitalism and establishing a socialist America. Debs famously proclaimed, “The sun of capitalism is setting; the sun of Socialism is rising.” This ominous prediction appears closer to reality than either Debs or Zinn could have anticipated.
The Zinn Education Project’s socialist propaganda concerns those who understand its potential negative impacts. However, young students exposed solely to pro-socialist ideas may need to be open to considering alternative economic systems. By linking capitalism to racism, class conflict, and inequality, this ideology may eventually fade away, leading to a catastrophic future where communism reigns supreme and poses a threat to all. If freedom is extinguished in America, a country known for its liberty, it will crumble, and the destruction of symbols of freedom will have irreversible consequences on the world.
The promotion of the Green New Deal and the depiction of the United States as an evil nation serve as strategies to critique capitalism and freedom. Individuals who endorse these notions usually align themselves with communist and Marxist ideologies. Hence, as a conscientious American and parent, I urge you to sign this petition.
Many politicians in our country have failed to prioritize the well-being of the people they represent. Instead, they often prioritize personal agendas and engage in corrupt behavior. If we hope to change the course of our nation’s history, we must address the root causes of these issues. However, it’s important to note that patriots will resist any attempts to undermine our country’s freedoms.
If you haven’t seen my latest episode on Critical Race Theory, I encourage you to listen because this episode has a lot to do with the weaponization of Critical Race Theory through a group called Black Lives Matter. An organization founded by lesbian feminists with Marxist ideologies that oppose traditional family values, promote LGBTQ rights, and advocate for reproductive rights, demonstrates a strong inclination towards anti-American and pro-communist beliefs. BLM is involved in destructive behaviors like rioting, arson, looting, defacing historical and religious landmarks, and mistreating law enforcement officers in major urban centers
The lack of action from political leaders allowed the emergence of the Black Lives Matter movement. Some see it as rooted in Marxist ideology, which emphasizes racial identity and identity politics. Critics argue that it threatens our institutions, religious freedoms, and the unity of the family.
I would like to provide you with a summary of critical race theory. Critical race theory, an academic concept over 40 years of history, posits that race is a social construct. It argues that racism is not solely a result of individual bias or prejudice but is ingrained in all of our institutions and policies.
The fundamental principles of critical race theory, or CRT, were developed as a legal analysis framework in the late 1970s and early 1980s by legal scholars Derrick Bell, Kimberlé Crenshaw, and Richard Delgado, among others. This theory is being utilized to challenge our cultural institutions, undermine our nationalism, question our religious beliefs, dismantle the nuclear family structure, and challenge the core values that define us as Americans. It is often viewed as a Marxist ideology, seen as a revolutionary movement.
Now that you know the definition of Critical Race Theory, Let’s discuss how it’s being weaponized in our Society. The legislation, enacted in a few states, aims to weaponize Critical Race Theory (CRT), an academic concept with more than 40 years of history. CRT posits that American institutions are fundamentally racist.
Weaponized Critical Race Theory
As a Tool, CRT – is utilized to enforce cancel culture, which involves boycotting or publicly shaming individuals or groups with differing views or those accused of social justice violations. CRT advocates believe this method is crucial in eradicating racism and advancing equality. On the other hand, opponents argue that it suppresses freedom of speech and fosters an environment where only a single viewpoint is accepted.
CRT -involves the politicization of educational establishments. Advocates of CRT assert that it’s imperative in school curricula to enable students to comprehend the historical aspects of racism in America and its present repercussions. Nevertheless, detractors argue that this approach seeks to indoctrinate young minds with a specific political ideology and foster division within classrooms. Consequently, numerous states have prohibited the instruction of CRT in schools, while some have mandated its inclusion in the curriculum.
The utilization of CRT as a weapon has resulted in allegations of hypocrisy. Critics claim that advocates of CRT frequently employ the same language and tactics they criticize in others. For instance, they might label others as racist or biased due to their race or gender, all the while maintaining biased opinions about specific groups.
The various factors have led to a contentious discussion regarding the effectiveness of CRT in contemporary society. Advocates of CRT assert that it is essential in addressing systemic racism and advancing equality. Conversely, opponents argue that it fosters division and perpetuates an oppressive environment that stifles differing viewpoints.
Americans as a whole need to delegitimize Black Lives Matter. We know that critical race theory is the basis of their movement.
“Michelle Obama said Barack knows we’re going to have to make sacrifices, change our conversation, and change our traditions.” OUR TRADITIONS? No, I don’t think so, Big Mike!!!
And I quote, Barack Obama has always been a communist people, from inception. From the age of 24, while he was at the University of Columbia, he wasn’t racist. Pick up his book; it’s ridiculous. Get this through your thick skull, Big Mike. Big Mike, you’re not going to change our history. You won’t rewrite history; “WE THE PEOPLE” will not allow it!
Critical Race Theory is an analytical framework that some argue intentionally creates division within our culture. -viewed as a version of Critical Theory tailored for Western democratic societies. Critical Theory, in general, may not be well-received in Western culture or a Republic. The academic version of Critical Race Theory is of little concern to some, as it identifies a new group to blame for societal issues – in this case, people of color who have experienced oppression and hardship in the United States, such as Hispanics, Blacks, Chinese, and Indigenous individuals.
Conclusion
CRT should be banned from educational institutions and completely eradicated from libraries, classrooms, and our society as a whole. It hurts the vulnerable minds of our young generation. Once again, CRT is an offshoot of Critical Theory, a social and political philosophy movement that originated from the Frankfurt School. Critical theorists, influenced by Karl Marx and Sigmund Freud’s ideas, argue that philosophy’s primary goal is to understand and challenge the oppressive social structures that dominate and suppress individuals. In simpler terms, it aims to dismantle cultural institutions in the United States. Max Horkheimer, who escaped Germany before the Nazi occupation, arrived in the United States via Geneva, Switzerland, and eventually ended up at Columbia University in New York, where he laid the groundwork for Critical Theory in the Western context, now known as Critical Race Theory. Let us not be deceived by this movement. BlackLivesMatter has embraced this ideology, which is a form of Marxism.
